I am a seasoned nurse with a passion for mental health and community well-being. My career has been a dynamic blend of urban and rural experiences, allowing me to dive into the diverse tapestry of cultures and family dynamics that make our communities unique. With years of dedicated service, I've witnessed the transformative power of unity. It's this belief in the strength of collaboration that fuels my vision as the Vice President of our nonprofit. I envision a community where inclusivity is not just a buzzword but a way of life—a space where no one is left behind and everyone is embraced for who they are, limitations and all. My background in mental health nursing has instilled in me a deep understanding of the challenges individuals, especially newcomers and racialized folks faces, and I'm committed to erasing the stigma surrounding mental health issues. Through our collective efforts, we can create a supportive environment where everyone feels valued and understood. Having navigated both urban and rural landscapes of Ontario and other Provinces, I've come to appreciate the unique needs of different communities. It's through this nuanced understanding that I strive to tailor our initiatives, ensuring that we address the specific concerns of each group we serve.
